My son-in-law grew up on a farm in Iowa. He works full-time at the DNR and also works outdoors a lot at home. This vest was his specific request for Christmas (I had gotten one for my daughter the year before, and he had wanted one ever since.) He gets hot working outside, even in freezing temps, and finds that this style and material is the best for keeping him safely warm without feeling sweaty or confined. We got an XL (his normal size), and that fits perfectly over whatever layers he would normally be wearing at work and home. The Carhartt quality guarantees lasting endurance and quality. Very Highly Recommended!
